SESTRIERE FILM FESTIVAL

Thanks to the Festival, Sestriere turns into the international capital of the mountains, a meeting place for mountaineers, enthusiasts, filmmakers and photographers. The event aims to highlight the great importance of mountains as bearers of meanings such as memory, work and identity.

Every year, the initiative attracts great interest from the public and the media, presenting the best documentaries, dramas and short films that have mountains and extreme regions of the world as their backdrop and describe the fascinating and complex relationship between man and nature, promoting knowledge and the defence of territories, deepening ties with peoples and cultures, celebrating great and small mountaineering feats and mountain sports.

Free entry. The ‘free culture’ formula is aimed at making knowledge and culture available to all, through concrete opportunities open to the public, which the Festival is.
