SANSICARIO

In the heart of Vialattea is the small and laid-back alpine village of Sansicario. Its prime location at the the centre of the 400km area makes it an ideal base for exploring – the quiet, wooded slopes above the village are the perfect warm up before venturing further afield. San Sicario Borgo, a characteristic alpine village nestling in the midst of woodland, and San Sicario Alto, the venue of choice for the Super giant slalom competitions and Women’s Downhill Alpine Skiing during the 2006 Olympics, making this place ideal for a holiday on snowy slopes.

EXPERIENCE
SANSICARIO

A true gem in the ski resort, Sansicario is a mountain hamlet which developed over time from a series of ancient chalets (the oldest of which date back to the sixteenth century) built on a small plateau on the slopes of Mount Fraiteve. Perched on a natural terrace in the Upper Susa Valley, it provides a commanding view over the Montgenèvre Hill, the Monti della Luna (Mountains of the Moon) and Mount Chaberton. The old town was renovated and modernised in 1969, and today it is a well-organised tourist centre that will meet the requirements of the most demanding holidaymakers.
