Kermesse of cultural events enriching the summer offer of the Olympic mountains
Starting this year, Vialattea is also a partner of the “Sestriere Film Festival” and will also support the Associazione Montagna Italia in the other stages of the “Spirit of the Mountain” International Film Festival Circuit.
The 14th edition of the “Sestriere Film Festival” will take place Aug. 3-10 at the Fraiteve Cinema in Sestriere, Europe’s highest movie theater at 2,035 meters, with a final concert at the Alpette hut scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 11. The festival attracts great public and media interest every year, presenting the best documentaries, dramas and short films that have as their setting mountains and extreme regions of the world and recount the fascinating and complex relationship between man and nature, promoting knowledge and protection of territories, deepening ties with peoples and cultures, and celebrating big and small mountaineering enterprises and mountain sports.
The Sestriere Film Festival offers tourists and film and mountain enthusiasts new alternatives that, in the vast leisure market, stand out as a moment of cultural and educational enrichment.
Admission to the event is free. The “free culture” formula is aimed at making knowledge and culture available to all, through concrete opportunities open to the public, which the Festival is.
