Marta Bassino and Wendy Holdener queens of Sestriere

The fantastic weekend of the women’s Alpine Ski World Cup in Sestriere is over. On Sunday December 11th won the Slalom, on the Kandahar G.A. Agnelli, the Swiss athlete Wendy Holdener (1’56”29), followed by the American Mikaela Shiffrin (+0.47) and the Slovak Petra Vlhova (+0.70). On Saturday the Giant Slalom was dominated by an extraordinary Marta Bassino (2’28″89) who preceded Sara Hector by 11 cents. Third Petra Vlhova, who accused a delay of 40 cents.

Over 23,000 spectators attended the two days of the World Cup in Sestriere, also taking advantage of the nice nice weather to go skiing on the Vialattea slopes.

The Audi FIS Ski World Cup Sestriere ended with the performance of the Sports Parachuting Section of the Regiment “Tuscania” with a spectacular landing near the roundabout in Piazza Agnelli, welcomed by the applause of the public. Once the curtain has fallen on the World Cup, Sestriere and Vialattea are ready to welcome tourists for a new winter season, accompanied by a rich calendar of side events and shows.
