Fiaccolate in Vialattea

On Friday, December 30 in Sestriere, ski instructors will put on a great show on the snow: the largest torchlight procession in Italy.
Starting at 9 p.m., ski instructors belonging to 9 ski schools of the resort will ski down the slopes of Sestriere with torches and will all meet at the parterre, the same as the Ski World Cup. At the end of the descent, the Gruppo Alpini of Sestriere will offer mulled wine to everyone.
The initiative is organized by the Municipality of Sestriere in collaboration with the Ski Schools, Consorzio Turismo Sestriere, Vialattea and Pro Loco Sestriere.

The classic end-of-year torchlight procession is also scheduled in the other resorts of the district.
In Sauze d’Oulx, ski instructors will light up the Clotes slope with their torchlights on Dec. 30. The appointment is at 9:30 pm at the Campetto: hot drinks and musical entertainment will welcome all spectators.

In Sansicario, the big torchlight procession will also be held on Dec. 30 at 6 p.m.

Finally in Claviere, also on December 30, the ski show will take place at the sports center. At 5 p.m., accompanied by musical entertainment, the instructors of the Claviere ski school and ski club will begin their descent by lighting up the resort’s slopes.
