With the Vialattea Trophy, held on Saturday, September 2, the curtain came down on the 2023 season of Circolo Golf Sestrieres. Imposing themselves in the last competition were Giuseppe De Chiesa (1st gross), Gigi Pastore, Ross Peraudo, Gregorio Bernardi, first in their respective “net” classifications. The Vialattea 2023/2024 season ski pass put up for prizes by The Sestrieres Spa, awarded by drawing among all participants, went to Giuseppe De Chiesa who thus made his day.
“It has been a wonderful season,” commented Paolo De Chiesa, president of the Golf Club Sestrieres, “that started with some difficulties because the rains really put us a little bit in trouble but the staff here is really exceptional and solved the problem in record time. Thanks to them we have been playing all this season on a wonderful course with great greens, liked by all the professionals involved in the competitions scheduled for July. I played in many courses in different locations and I can say that it is a great pride, a great honor, to have fantastic greens set in a unique location here at 2,000 meters at Sestriere. We thank the Sestrieres Spa, Vialattea, for all the support: without them golf would not be what it is, which is to say, a wonderful reality. I also extend my gratitude to our members who have participated in large numbers in all these events this year. In addition to participation here there is a lot of feeling: there is a beautiful atmosphere in this club. As I said at the awards ceremony, it really makes me happy to be the president of such a nice club with this atmosphere. As far as golf is concerned, we’ll see everyone next year, but now we’re already starting to think about skiing.”
