MONTAGNE SEU

A route of medium difficulty involving the use of the Vialattea ski lifts. The route initially runs on flat or slightly downhill terrain until the junction for Enfers, where you start pedalling uphill through the dense forest of the Gran Bosco di Salbertand Nature Park. The uphill part is not very demanding except for short stretches and, in no time at all, you find yourself tackling the forest road downhill to the fork that leads to Montagne Seu. Here the road, which is fairly straight and flat, allows us to pedal in complete relaxation until we reach the hamlet. On the way back, to close the loop tour, we recommend returning to Sauze d’Oulx via Monfol.

VIA DEI SARACENI

A route of medium difficulty that involves the use of the Vialattea ski lifts. The route of the famous Via dei Saraceni can be done by following the classic route, i.e. climbing from the Col Blegier forest road, or it can be done starting from Piazzale Prarion and using the chairlifts that go up to Sportinia and Rocce Nere. When travelling along the Assietta Road starting from Col Basset, cyclists will find that the gradient is almost always favourable and the only major uphill stretch will be the four hairpin bends that lead to the top of the mountain near Monte Genevris. Even less experienced cyclists will be able to enjoy the wonderful panorama offered by this stretch of road on the watershed between the Susa and Chisone Valleys.

ASSIETTA MONUMENT

Difficult route involving the use of the Vialattea ski lifts. A beautiful and scenic route that takes you along the famous Assietta road from Col Blegier to the obelisk commemorating the famous battle. Amidst simple ups and downs, the first part of the route is of medium difficulty and the only important uphill section is the four hairpin bends leading to the top of the hill near Monte Genevris. At the foot of the descent you continue to the right and, without too much effort, pedal until you reach a hilly plateau and the Assietta obelisk. The return via the cannon road makes the trail demanding and suitable only for experienced cyclists.
